A Sensitive Young Man goes to Oxford.

The debut novel from John King Spiezio, a writer and musician from New York City and a graduate of Brasenose College, Oxford.

Something of the Springtime takes place over the course of a year in 1888 in Oxford, England where an American scholar, James Dalthey, has been offered the position of Chair of Scandinavian Studies. The novel follows James as he attempts to find his place at Oxford, a world both familiar and alien, make friends, make peace with his career, his past, his relationship with God, and a forbidden love that tempts him to ruin, all told in a lighthearted, comic, and richly textured style that is all Spiezio’s own.
