Curtis Yarvin

Curtis Yarvin, born June 25, 1972, in New York City, is an American writer, blogger, and software engineer known for his work in political philosophy and technology. Raised in a diplomatic family, he studied computer science at Brown University and briefly attended UC Berkeley before leaving academia.

Under the pseudonym Mencius Moldbug, he gained attention in the late 2000s with his blog Unqualified Reservations, where he critiqued modern democracy and explored historical perspectives on governance. Yarvin also co-founded Urbit, a decentralized computing platform, and has authored works like Gray Mirror: Fascicle I, Disturbance (2022), a series of essays on political and social theory.
